We create platforms for learning, making and being heard.
Our mission is to advance electronic music culture by providing practical pathways into music production, performance and sound engineering; by supporting emerging and independent local artists; and by organising accessible cultural education that welcomes different ages, identities, backgrounds and levels of experience.
We work to reduce technical, social and economic barriers that can prevent people from participating. We encourage experimentation while valuing safe practice, respectful collaboration and the patient development of craft. Through workshops, showcases and community projects, we connect creative individuals with knowledge, peers and audiences.

Finland as a vibrant home for electronic music creators.
We envision an innovative and supportive cultural ecosystem in which every electronic music creator championed by Elektronisen Musiikin Ystävät ry can thrive artistically and professionally. In this future, geography, income, prior access and social background do not determine whose voice is heard.
Electronic music is recognised as an essential part of contemporary Finnish arts and heritage. Artists can build sustainable practices, young people can explore identity through sound, communities can gather around adventurous culture, and digital works are valued and preserved for future generations.
